Email from Christmas

This was the email I told Mr. Jones about in our final Multimedia II class in December. Sorry it has taken so long to post...actually, I was just emptying out my email inbox and happened to find it. Hope you enjoy! It came with the following text:

"Good news is that I truly outdid myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

Wild Bill's - A Fight For Charity

Tex Johnson MMA Fight Video from nabphotos on Vimeo.

CONGRATULATIONS, NELSON! GREAT JOB! Well, this is what I photographed over the Christmas break. Al (husband) and I took our toys and went to Wild Bill's for Fight Night. We donated to Toys-for-Tots; and Nelson Bigles allowed me to shoot the fights with him. It was fun, loud and exciting; I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks for the opportunity, Nelson! TTFN SDG

I’m BAAAACK!

After spending some time with family over the holidays, it's time to get back to work. School started back up January 5th; and two days later I headed for Nashville as a volunteer at Imaging U.S.A. It was an amazing experience to hear the experts teaching the highlights of our craft. I'm ready to continue learning all that's needed to make my photography business a success. The volunteer work was tough; but we survived to live another day. TTFN SDG

Advanced Commercial - Winter Quarter 2010

Here is just a taste of the Pro Photo Videos I watched today. Jim Talkington gives inexpensive ways to set up a home commercial studio. It was very helpful as I began to think about the next 10 weeks in Advanced Commercial Photography. TTFN SDG

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, the first day of 2010 was spent in front of the TV watching the Rose Parade and a myriad of Bowl Games with my husband. There were some upsets and some accurate outcomes; but while watching I was also surfing. I found a site with some great videos on photography. I was so enthralled I watched every video during the course of the day, making a list of things to remember, purchase and throw together to make location shots a bit easier. Jim Talkington puts together some very user friendly ideas and was very enjoyable to watch. Check out his site here and get comfortable. P.S. Only 8 days left till Imaging USA . . . Nashville, here we come! TTFN SDG

Office Move…Ugh!

Well, I have finally accumulated so much photography stuff that I had to vacate my husband’s office. We moved computer, printer and stuff to my craft room. Now all I have to do is get rid of a multitude of craft items. Any takers? TTFN SDG
