Sindhi Sabha Diwali Revisited


Before and after images taken at the Festival of Lights I spoke on in an earlier blog. As you can see, the background set up for photography was sadly lacking. The color was wrong, it was a gold wrinkled chiffon you could see through to the chair rail molding and the darker paint below, it was wrinkled and it had an ugly valance that was so low it cut into the heads of standing subjects any taller than about 5′7″. We had to overcome many obstacles to shoot: not enough room to get our lights in the right place, background, seating, space, pocket wizard cords . . . you name it and it was a problem! I’m not sure who shot this image because we were passing cameras around; but Suchi and Rosira did an amazing job in post-production. TTFN SDG
